Tracelec obtains the Certificate of Compliance of the (LOPD-GDD)

What is the LOPD-GDD? This law was approved by the Cortes Generales and its objective is to adapt Spanish internal law to the General Data Protection Regulation. Said organic law repealed the previous Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data (although it has remained in force for the regulation of certain activities).

Since its entry into force on May 25, 2018 the (LOPD-GDD). For practical purposes, it was an adaptation of the European Data Protection Regulation. But it also included important new features. One of the most notable is the incorporation of a new title exclusively dedicated to digital rights. In other words, specific to (Internet, digital education or the right to secure communications, among other aspects).

A law that guarantees data protection

At Tracelec, we are aware of the importance of all aspects related to data security and digital rights guarantees. For this reason, we strictly comply with the requested requirements. And to formalize it, we update each year the certification on each of our obligations established by said law.

On this occasion, LAE Consulting has carried out the compliance audit with the LOPD-GDD and has reviewed each of the obligations relating to said law, granting Tracelec this certification until October 2023, the date on which it will be updated.

Upon completion of the audit. LAE Consulting declares that it has identified the needs subject to the guidelines established by the Organic Law on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights. And that it has also evaluated the state of data flows, analyzing those processes that can lead to legal liability.

In addition, LAE Consulting has also developed, together with the Data Protection Delegate, the following measures to guarantee compliance with current legislation:

a) Adjustment of clauses with external companies.
b) Good cybersecurity practices and computer equipment.
c) Preparation of a procedure to address new user rights.
