Tracelec, following with its objectives to diversify and grow in the European market, certifies its cables according to the UNE-EN 45545-2: 2013+A1: 2016 standard for application in the railway sector, which is mandatory. This standard specifies the behavioral requirements against the fire of the materials and products used in the rail vehicles defined in the standard in 45545-1. The exploitation and design categories defined in the standard in 45545-1 are used to establish the danger levels used as the basis of a classification system.
The tests performed are the following:
• UNE-EN 60332-1-2:2005, UNE-EN 60332-1-2:2005/A1:2016, UNE-EN 60332-1-2:2005/A11:2016 y EN 60332-1-2:2005/A12:2020: “Test methods for electrical cables and fiber optic cables subjected to fire conditions”
• EN 61034-2:2005+A2:2020: “Measure of fume density emitted by combustion cables under defined conditions”
• EN 50305:2002 cláusula 9.1.1: Flame spread.
• EN 50305:2002 cláusula 9.2: Toxicity test.
With this step, Tracelec is consolidated in the European railway sector providing different services and solutions of high technological value.
